Lake Yalleena is a man-made, private fishing lake that was completed in 1987. The lake was built to coincide with the establishment of Kalangadoo, a small country community in the East Coast Highlands of Tasmania. Situated at approximately 600 metres above sea level, the weather at the lake varies, often changing several times in one day. It truly epitomises the phrase "four seasons in one day", but in doing so, reveals a beauty rarely seen elsewhere, as the lake reflects the changing colours of the weather.
